Hands-On History Corner

Discover even more fun at the Old Colony History Museum with the Hands-On History Corner! Located on the first floor, all ages are invited to interact with original artifacts dating from the Wampanoag People to the late 1800s. From a silver teapot to a butter churn, explore objects of the past and guess their connections to modern times.

In addition to hands-on artifacts are thirteen different scavenger hunts! Grab a clipboard, pencil, and select which scavenger hunt will take you through our exhibition space. Scavenger hunts range from easy (ages 5 and up) to moderate (ages 10 and up).

If you have extra time, sit on our cozy rug or chair with a good book! While at the museum, read a history book for kids from our own library. Don’t forget to put it back when you are done!
