The OCHM not only had great exhibits and programs but is home to the Hurley research library which specializes in materials about Southeastern Massachusetts before 1850, with a special focus on Taunton’s early European settlers. Questions about an ancestor? Interested in who used to live in your house? Ever wondered who owned a certain store on Main Street in the 1880s? Want to see some old maps? We can help!
The library is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for on-site research. To ensure the best experience, we ask you to schedule an appointment before visiting our research library. Call us at 508-822-1622 and our staff would be happy to assist! Admission is $5 for adults. Free for OCHM members.
